Founded in 2011 by Academy Award-winning actress and producer Viola Davis and actor-producer Julius Tennon, JuVee Productions has become one of Hollywood’s most respected production companies dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices and culturally impactful storytelling. The company later expanded into award-winning prestige filmmaking with The Woman King, the critically celebrated historical epic starring Viola Davis, which earned widespread acclaim and multiple honors including a Black Reel Award for Outstanding Film. JuVee also produced the immersive virtual reality experience Iago: The Green-Eyed Monster, which received recognition from the Tribeca Festival and won a Webby Award for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
