Young actors Hattie Hoskins and Mark Lane III have joined the cast of One Night Out, an upcoming thriller directed by George Tillman Jr. for Orion Pictures, Amazon MGM Studios’ specialty film label.
Hoskins, an 11-year-old Haitian-American performer, has appeared in CBS and Paramount’s NCIS: Origins and Amazon’s Them: The Scare. Lane’s credits include ABC’s Abbott Elementary and the Sundance breakout film If I Go Will They Miss Me.
The pair join previously announced cast members Aldis Hodge, Wunmi Mosaku, Rory Culkin and Oona Roche in the suspense-driven feature.
Based on a short story by screenwriter Nelson Greaves, One Night Out follows a married couple whose rare evening away from their children takes a frightening turn when their babysitter disappears. With their children an hour away, the couple must navigate an increasingly tense situation as they race to get home.
Greaves wrote the screenplay, with revisions by Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo. Tillman will produce alongside Bob Teitel under their State Street Pictures banner.
Tillman is known for directing acclaimed films including The Hate U Give, Notorious and Soul Food.
