About

Monkeypaw Productions is an American film and television production company founded by Academy Award–winning writer, director, and producer Jordan Peele. Established to develop bold, socially conscious genre storytelling, the company quickly became one of the most influential creative banners in modern horror, satire, and prestige television. Monkeypaw first gained industry prominence with the breakout success of Get Out (2017), Peele’s directorial debut, which became a cultural phenomenon and earned four Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, while Peele won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.

The company continued its momentum with critically acclaimed and commercially successful projects such as Us (2019), which grossed more than $250 million worldwide, and collaborations on notable films including BlacKkKlansman (2018), which received six Academy Award nominations and won for Best Adapted Screenplay, as well as Candyman and Nope (2022). Monkeypaw has also produced distinctive genre projects like the stop-motion animated film Wendell & Wild (2022) and earlier releases such as Keanu (2016). On television, the company has been behind several influential series, including the Emmy Award–winning sketch show Key & Peele, the horror anthology revival The Twilight Zone, the Tracy Morgan–led comedy The Last O.G., and the critically acclaimed HBO series Lovecraft Country, which received 18 Emmy nominations and multiple critics’ awards.

Operating under a production partnership with Universal Pictures, Monkeypaw continues to champion innovative filmmakers and genre-driven storytelling that blends entertainment with social commentary. The company’s more recent slate includes projects like the psychological horror film Him starring Marlon Wayans, as well as new initiatives and partnerships designed to support emerging filmmakers and expand Monkeypaw’s influence across film and television.
