Confluential Productions (also known as Confluential Films/Confluential Content) is an award-winning, Black-owned film, television, and documentary production company and production services arm founded by Tommy Oliver and based in Los Angeles. Known for its commitment to culturally specific, creator-driven storytelling, the company develops, finances, and produces projects across scripted and unscripted formats, with partnerships spanning major studios and platforms including Netflix, HBO, and Sony.

The company’s film and television slate includes critically acclaimed and award-winning titles such as Kinyarwanda, which won the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival, Jinn (Special Jury Award at SXSW), and the HBO documentary 40 Years a Prisoner. Its documentary Going to Mars: The Nikki Giovanni Project earned both Sundance Grand Jury recognition and Emmy wins, further solidifying the company’s reputation in nonfiction storytelling.
