Ryan Coogler is an Academy Award-nominated writer, director, and producer widely regarded as one of the most influential filmmakers of his generation. Born on May 23, 1986, in Oakland, California, Coogler rose to prominence through a string of critically acclaimed films that combine powerful storytelling with cultural authenticity, social commentary, and commercial success.
