Biography
Kyle Scott is an American film director, producer, and writer whose career spans independent shorts, music videos, and narrative features. He first garnered industry attention with early producing credits on acclaimed short films such as Temporal Ollie (2010) and The Adventure of Retainer Boy (2010), both of which he produced during the formative phase of his filmmaking journey, and later produced the Tyga music video Tequila Kisses (2017). In the early 2020s Scott continued to build his portfolio behind the camera as executive producer and director on projects including Hispanic Actor (2021) and the indie feature Love Unexpected (2023), showcasing a versatility across formats and genres.
As of 2026 Scott is directing and executive producing the feature film Boyz Trip, a character‑driven comedy‑adventure set in Cape Town that explores friendship, identity, and unexpected challenges on a holiday gone awry. While he has not yet been prominently featured in major industry awards or nominations, Scott’s work has made notable contributions on the independent circuit, and Boyz Trip is widely anticipated as a key milestone in his transition into larger narrative filmmaking and broader festival and commercial exposure.
