Kim Wayans (born October 16, 1961 in New York City, New York, USA) is an American actress, writer, producer and director whose sharp comedic timing and versatile performances have made her a memorable presence across television and film for more than three decades. She first gained wide recognition as a cast member and writer on the groundbreaking sketch comedy series In Living Color (1990–1994), where her portrayals of original characters and celebrity impressions helped define the show’s edgy, satirical voice and established her as part of the influential Wayans family comedy legacy.
