Biography
Kevin Marable is an American media entrepreneur, entertainment journalist, and creative executive best known as the Founder and CEO of TheBlkScript, a digital media and entertainment platform dedicated to amplifying Black and diverse voices across film, television, and the broader entertainment industry. Founded in 2023, TheBlkScript was created to provide greater visibility and opportunities for Black actors, screenwriters, filmmakers, and other emerging creatives while giving audiences a dedicated destination for Black entertainment news, storytelling, and industry resources.
Under Marable’s leadership, TheBlkScript has developed from an entertainment-focused media outlet into a broader creative ecosystem encompassing news, interviews, reviews, talent discovery, screenwriting resources, a screenplay library, submissions, podcasts, and original programming. The platform’s mission centers on connecting emerging talent with audiences and industry opportunities while creating a space where creators of color can be discovered, educated, and celebrated.
One of Marable’s most notable contributions is BLIND SIDES™, a talent-discovery concept designed to connect emerging actors and writers through short-form scripted scenes. Developed by Marable and his collaborators, the initiative gives actors an opportunity to perform material from writers while creating additional exposure for both sides of the creative process.
Marable has also expanded TheBlkScript’s role as a resource for screenwriters through its Script Library, which provides access to screenplays and teleplays primarily written by writers of color for educational purposes. The platform additionally offers screenplay submissions, development resources, talent discovery, and opportunities intended to help creators navigate an industry that has historically lacked equitable access and representation.
As TheBlkScript has grown, Marable has pursued strategic partnerships designed to move the company beyond traditional digital publishing. The platform has partnered with organizations and entertainment companies including The Brick TV, FilmWorks Global, The Professional Pen, and UrbanFest 360°, creating opportunities around content, distribution, education, talent development, and industry access. The partnership with The Brick TV, for example, includes plans for a dedicated TheBlkScript channel featuring original programming, interviews, BLIND SIDES™, and additional film and television content.
In 2026, Marable further expanded his vision with the relaunch of the BlkScript Network, positioning it as a centralized digital destination for actors, screenwriters, filmmakers, film and television projects, reviews, podcasts, and creator-driven entertainment content. The Network incorporates TheBlkScript’s talent database and Script Library while expanding into feature films, television pilots, short films, documentaries, micro-dramas, vertical series, and podcasts.
Marable has also expanded his presence as an entertainment commentator and interviewer through TheBlkScript’s original programming, including BLK Storytellers, which features conversations with actors, filmmakers, writers, producers, and other industry professionals. He is also a co-host of The Watchers, a film and television podcast covering movies, television, streaming, and the business and creative conversations surrounding the projects audiences watch.
Through TheBlkScript, Marable has established himself as a media entrepreneur focused on representation, talent discovery, creator education, and Black entertainment journalism.
