Biography

John Boyega (born March 17, 1992, in London, England) is a British actor and producer who rose from independent film acclaim to global stardom through blockbuster franchises and award-winning dramatic performances. Boyega first gained widespread recognition for his breakout lead role as Moses in the cult sci-fi film Attack the Block (2011), a performance that earned him multiple breakthrough honors and established him as one of Britain’s most promising young actors. His early television credits included appearances in the BBC series Becoming Human and 24: Live Another Day, but his career reached international prominence when he was cast as Finn in Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens (2015), reprising the role in Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (2017) and Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker (2019), making him one of the central figures of the sequel trilogy.
