Biography

Jaz Sinclair (born Jasmine Sinclair Sabino on July 22, 1994, in Dallas, Texas) is an American actress and producer who has steadily built a reputation as a dynamic performer across film and television since the early 2010s. She began pursuing acting professionally after moving to Los Angeles, making early television appearances in series such as Revolution and Rizzoli & Isles, before gaining attention with a supporting role as Angela in the 2015 film Paper Towns, adapted from the novel by John Green. Sinclair’s breakthrough came in the thriller When the Bough Breaks (2016), where she portrayed Anna Walsh opposite Morris Chestnut and Regina Hall, a performance that demonstrated her ability to balance vulnerability and intensity on screen. She continued expanding her film résumé with roles in Fun Mom Dinner (2017), Slender Man (2018)—which earned her a Golden Raspberry Award nomination for Worst Supporting Actress—and the indie drama Please Baby Please (2022).

 

On television, Sinclair achieved global recognition for her portrayal of Rosalind “Roz” Walker in the Netflix supernatural series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018–2020), starring alongside Kiernan Shipka. Her performance as Sabrina’s perceptive best friend—whose clairvoyant abilities evolve throughout the series—helped establish Sinclair as a standout among the show’s young ensemble cast. She also appeared in the Netflix anthology series Easy, the animated spinoff The Boys Presents: Diabolical, and later entered the expanding superhero universe of The Boys.

 

Sinclair reached a new level of prominence with her lead role as Marie Moreau in the Prime Video superhero drama Gen V (2023–present), a spinoff of The Boys. As the central protagonist—a young hero with the ability to manipulate blood—Sinclair anchors the series with a complex performance that blends emotional depth with action-driven storytelling. Her work on the series has earned widespread recognition, including nominations for a Critics Choice Super Award for Best Actress in a Superhero Series, a Gotham TV Award for Outstanding Performance in a Comedy Series, and a Black Reel Award for Television for Outstanding Lead Performance in a Comedy Series. She also received a Saturn Award nomination recognizing her work in television.

 

As of the mid-2020s, Sinclair continues to expand her presence in major streaming franchises while balancing film projects and creative ventures.
