Jay Pharoah (born Jared Antonio Farrow on October 14, 1987, in Chesapeake, Virginia) is an American actor, comedian, impressionist, and voice performer best known for his dynamic versatility across television, film, animation, and stand-up comedy. He rose to national prominence as a cast member on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, where he starred for six seasons beginning in 2010 and earned widespread acclaim for his spot-on celebrity impressions, most notably President Barack Obama, Will Smith, Denzel Washington, and Kanye West. His breakout tenure on the iconic sketch series established him as one of the leading comedic impressionists of his generation.
