Biography
Greg Cally is a Haitian-American filmmaker, director, producer, and screenwriter whose work spans documentary, television, branded content, and narrative filmmaking. Known for his visually driven storytelling and socially conscious approach, Cally has built a reputation as a versatile creative voice within the independent film and television landscape. A graduate of Queens College with a degree in English, he has credited his literary background as a major influence on his cinematic style, blending strong character-driven narratives with compelling visual execution.
Over the course of his career, Cally has contributed to a number of acclaimed documentary and television projects. He served as a producer on the ESPN documentary feature Wade: Life Unexpected, chronicling the life and career of NBA legend Dwyane Wade, a project produced in association with Imagine Entertainment. His documentary work also includes HBO/VICE’s Emmy Award-winning documentary Raised in the System, which examined the experiences of youth navigating the American foster care system, and the acclaimed VICE TV docuseries Black Market with Michael K. Williams, on which he worked during its second season.
Cally has also established himself as a narrative filmmaker. His award-winning short film Fifteen garnered recognition on the festival circuit, while his award-winning mid-length feature Anime expanded his profile as a director capable of blending emotional storytelling with striking visual aesthetics. Additional directing and producing credits include the TIDAL-exclusive miniseries After Hours and the TV One biographical feature Never Would’ve Made It, based on the life of gospel artist Marvin Sapp.
Beyond his filmmaking work, Cally is the founder and CEO of Redhouse Visuals, a production company specializing in film, television, commercial, and branded visual content. Through Redhouse Visuals, he has developed projects across multiple platforms while continuing to champion stories that highlight underrepresented voices and culturally relevant themes.
As of 2026, Cally remains active as a writer, director, and producer, developing new film projects while expanding his work across scripted and unscripted content. His recent slate includes independent narrative productions and emerging directorial ventures, reflecting a career trajectory centered on impactful storytelling, creative entrepreneurship, and the elevation of diverse perspectives in entertainment.
