Biography

Grace Byers is a Caymanian-American actress who rose to prominence through her compelling performances in television and film, establishing herself as a versatile presence across drama, comedy, and genre storytelling. Born Grace Lillis Gealey on July 26 in Butler, Pennsylvania, and raised in the Cayman Islands by deaf parents, Byers became fluent in sign language at an early age, an experience that deeply influenced her empathy and communication as a performer. She later returned to the United States to study Theater Arts at the University of South Florida before earning her Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of California, Irvine, laying the foundation for a professional career that began in theater before transitioning to television.
