Biography
Edwin Hodge is an American actor, writer, and producer whose career spans more than three decades across film and television, establishing him as a versatile and enduring presence in Hollywood. Born January 26, 1985, in Onslow County, North Carolina, Hodge began acting as a child and made his film debut alongside his brother, actor Aldis Hodge, in Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), launching a career that steadily expanded across major studio films and acclaimed television series. He earned early recognition with a Young Artist Award win in 1998 for his supporting performance in Shadow Zone: My Teacher Ate My Homework, marking him as a rising talent at a young age.
Hodge gained widespread attention for his pivotal and recurring role as Dante Bishop, also known as the “Bloody Stranger,” in Blumhouse’s blockbuster The Purge franchise, appearing in The Purge (2013), The Purge: Anarchy (2014), and The Purge: Election Year (2016), making him the only actor to appear in the first three installments of the series. His film career also includes prominent roles in As Above, So Below (2014), The Good Neighbor (2016), Red Dawn (2012), All the Boys Love Mandy Lane (2006), If Not Now, When?
