Ebony Obsidian (born April 16, 1994, in New Paltz, New York) is an American actress known for her dynamic work across television and film. After beginning her career in web and independent productions—including the popular YouTube series Tough Love (2015–2018) and small feature roles in films like The Amazing Spider‑Man 2 (2014) and Where Hearts Lie (2016)—Obsidian gained wider recognition with a supporting turn as Adrienne Hunt in Barry Jenkins’ critically acclaimed drama If Beale Street Could Talk (2018). She expanded her television profile with guest and recurring roles in Master of None (2017), I Am Homicide (2016), Hunters (2020), and Hulu’s Wu‑Tang: An American Saga (2019–2023), before landing her breakout role as Karen Mott on Tyler Perry’s long‑running BET comedy‑drama Sistas (2019–2025).
