Academy Award nominee Wunmi Mosaku narrates and executive produces ‘Africa: Earth’s Wild Home,’ a seven-part natural history event series from National Geographic. Filmed over four years across nearly 30 countries, the series moves beyond classic safari narratives to showcase unseen species, rare behaviors, and the continent’s diverse ecosystems.
The docuseries examines how Africa’s distinct environments—from deserts and rainforests to mountain ranges and islands—shape animal behavior, survival tactics, and evolutionary adaptations. Using CGI and advanced camera technology, the production tracks how natural forces and shifting environments continue to transform the region.
The BBC Studios Natural History Unit produced the series for National Geographic. Series Producer Jane Atkins led the production, alongside co-executive producer Simon Blakeney and Nat Geo executive producer Pam Caragol.
