King Kong still ain’t got sh*t on him! That’s right—Antoine Fuqua’s acclaimed 2001 crime thriller ‘Training Day,’ starring Academy Award winner Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke, is returning to theaters this month for a special 25th anniversary re-release event.

Written by David Ayer, the film stars Washington as LAPD narcotics officer Alonzo Harris and Hawke as rookie detective Jake Hoyt, tracking a tense 24-hour evaluation across the tough neighborhoods in Westlake, Echo Park, and South Central Los Angeles.

The film’s ensemble cast features Eva Mendes, Scott Glenn, Cliff Curtis, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Macy Gray in supporting roles.

‘Training Day’ hits theaters for its limited 25th anniversary screening event on October 14.
