Biography
Matthew Law is an American actor, director, producer, and award-winning filmmaker whose growing body of work across television, film, and independent projects has established him as a versatile multi-hyphenate talent in the entertainment industry. Originally from Seattle, Washington, Law began his career in independent filmmaking before transitioning into on-screen roles in both network television and streaming productions, steadily building a résumé that reflects both range and consistency.
He is best known for his recurring role as Kareem Richardson on The Oval, the long-running BET drama created by Tyler Perry, where he appeared across multiple seasons and more than 100 episodes. Law further expanded his mainstream recognition with his role as O’Shon on the acclaimed ABC comedy Abbott Elementary, appearing alongside Quinta Brunson in the Emmy-winning series. His additional television credits include appearances in Ahsoka within the Star Wars universe, Based on a True Story, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Paynes, NCIS: Los Angeles, and Home Economics, showcasing his ability to move between drama, comedy, and genre storytelling.
