Julius Tennon is an accomplished American actor and producer whose career spans more than three decades across film, television, and theater. Born on December 24, 1953, in Austin, Texas, Tennon began his journey as both a standout athlete and performer, earning a football scholarship to the University of Tulsa, where he made history as the first African American graduate of its theater department. He transitioned steadily into acting in the 1980s, appearing in early projects such as Confessions of a Serial Killer and the acclaimed miniseries Lonesome Dove, before gaining wider recognition with roles in films like Dazed and Confused and Small Soldiers.
