Biography
Brian Joseph White (born April 21, 1975 in Boston, Massachusetts) is an American actor and producer whose charismatic screen presence has made him a familiar face across film and television since the late 1990s. After a collegiate athletic background and brief stint as a stockbroker, White transitioned to acting in 1997 and steadily built a diverse body of work.
He is widely recognized for his supporting roles in major studio films including The Family Stone (2005), The Game Plan (2007), Stomp the Yard (2007), 12 Rounds (2009), I Can Do Bad All by Myself (2009), Good Deeds (2012) and the genre‑bending The Cabin in the Woods (2012). On television, White earned acclaim for his series work in Men of a Certain Age (2009–11), the reimagined Beauty & the Beast (2012–13), and the drama Ambitions (2019) where he played Evan Lancaster. He has also headlined digital series like Bronx SIU, earning back‑to‑back Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Digital Drama Series and an Indie Series Award nomination for Best Lead Actor for his portrayal of Jimmy Blue. In more recent years, White has continued to lead projects with starring roles in Fosters Law (2023) as Edward Foster and the TV movie Every Breath She Takes (2023), and expanded into thriller territory with Stereoscope (2024) and the upcoming drama Unrequited (2026).
