Gabourey Sidibe is an Academy Award–nominated actress who rose to prominence with her breakthrough performance in the critically acclaimed film Precious. Her portrayal of Claireece “Precious” Jones earned Sidibe widespread recognition and numerous accolades, including nominations for the Academy Awards for Best Actress, the Golden Globe Awards, the BAFTA Awards, and the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
