Damson Idris is a British-Nigerian actor whose remarkable range, charisma, and emotional intensity have established him as one of the most exciting leading men of his generation. Born in Peckham, London, England, Idris trained at Brunel University London before honing his craft at the Identity School of Acting, where he was mentored by acclaimed actor Ade Solanke and encouraged by actress Cathy Tyson. After making early television appearances in Miranda, Doctors, and Casualty, he landed his breakthrough role in 2017 as Franklin Saint, the ambitious young drug kingpin at the center of FX’s critically acclaimed crime drama Snowfall.
